If you, like me, are disappointed with the selection of free classics books directly from Amazon, use the Kindle browser to go to m.gutenberg.com
Here you can browser the many (free) titles available which have been translated by volunteers and download directly to your Kindle by clicking the relevant link!
If you want to legally download free George Orwell books for Kindle, follow this link if you live in Australia. If you live anywhere else in the world you will have to buy them from Amazon or wait util the copyright is exhausted.
